Who We Are

As of March 2022, we are a Student Government recognized organization on the campus of Trine University in Angola, Indiana. The members in our club span all grades and majors–the only requirement for joining is a passion for the planet!

SPEAK’s overarching goals as a philanthropic group are detailed below:

A. Actively promoting environmentally responsible practices at Trine University and in the wider Steuben County.

B. Reducing the amount of stress that we apply to our surroundings.

C. Educating the community about the type of environmental impact we are able to have in our daily lives.

Though our team’s mission is overwhelmingly brought to life by all organizaiton members, we do have an executive board in charge of steering us toward the right opportunities to save our environment! These leaders are listed below:

President- Kennedy Jester

They are a junior majoring in exercise science, with a pre-physical therapy concentration and minors in Spanish/psychology. In addition to meeting with the City of Angola on administrative matters for SPEAK, she serves as the Social Media Director of the GSAN and the Philanthropy Chair of Theta Phi Alpha.

Director of Creative Design- Audrey Smith

She is a sophomore double-majoring in English and psychology education, with a minor in psychology. In the past, she has also coordinated digital marketing efforts for Trine’s Student Government and another organization called The Writer’s Block! She is currently serving as Chief of Staff within Student Government.

Secretary- Aubriana Ragsdale

She is a senior double-majoring in psychology and criminal justice, with minors in forensic psychology/political science/cybersecurity. She is known as the busiest officer of the group due to her presidency in the GSAN, as well as positions of Recruitment Chair and PR Chair in Theta Phi Alpha!

Treasurer- Katie Haase

She is a sophomore majoring in business administration, with a minor in Spanish. It’s clear that she can be trusted with finances, as she is also currently serving as Treasurer for the sorority Theta Phi Alpha on Trine’s campus!

Student Government Representative- Caden Daffron

They are a sophomore majoring in computer engineering, with a minor in software engineering. Fun fact: he also serves as the Technology Coordinator for all SPEAK’s events!
